The marriage contract process is completed through a video conference session with the competent judge to finalize the authentication in accordance with the approved legal procedures.

Requirements and Conditions for Civil Marriage

• ✓ Both spouses must be at least 21 years old
• ✓ Both parties must be non-Muslim
• ✓ Marriage must not be between siblings, ascendants, descendants, uncles, or aunts
• ✓ Both parties must be present within the United Arab Emirates (visitor, resident, or citizen)
• ✓ Both parties must explicitly declare their consent to the marriage before the authentication judge
• ✓ If either party has a previous marriage, proof of divorce must be provided via a divorce certificate or final court judgment in accordance with legal procedures
• ✓ There must be no legal impediment affecting the validity of consent
• ✓ Both spouses must sign the approved disclosure form
• ✓ Any conditions agreed between the parties must be documented in an official agreement and legally translated into Arabic

Required Documents

The center must be provided with copies of identification cards or proof of identity, along with the required documents through the available channels. The required documents may vary depending on each case, in accordance with the center’s review and the court officer in charge.
